I write gritty, character-driven science fiction about resistance against imperialism, almost insurmountable odds and the cost of freedom in a multi-polar galaxy.

I want to thank you so much for taking the time to read my debut novella, The Uprising: More Than We Bargained For. I hope you enjoyed the start of this epic new journey filled with incredible characters and the impossible choices they have to make. Like you. I’m trying to make sense of the senseless world we live in and this novella series is my way to navigate through it.

I’ve been passionate about science fiction since childhood, but my writing dreams were put on hold while traversing life’s realities. Growing up in the Midlands during the 80s in a terraced two-up-two-down house was a formative experience in resilience. Now in my forties, I finally returned to my passion through professional writing courses, launching a new chapter in my life.

My writing journey began in screenplays after joining Dominic Morgan’s Scriptfella program. While I found early success as a finalist and award-winner at several international screenplay festivals, feedback from readers pushed me toward prose. When early readers demanded a novel, I answered the call, honing my prose with Lucy Hay’s Bang2Write Academy.

The Uprising: More Than We Bargained For is the first entry in The Uprising Saga, an epic space opera series exploring occupation and the cost of resistance.
